Good cart for the money.

I bought this cart for my Millermatic 211. Yes, the color influenced my buying decision, but the dimension of the top shelf was the clencher. It fits my welder beautifully. Like a lot of new welders I had intended to build my own cart, but other house projects got in the way, and it was a pain to use the welder without the cylinder being mobile. I caved because I need to move everything around the shop, especially when I'm NOT using the welder.Even with minimal instructions assembly was easy. You'll need metric tools, and wing the "wrenches" that come with the cart into the trash. All the holes lined up well. Use the eight large bolts to mount the front casters, and use the four long bolts to mount the handle. I had two bolt-sets left over and cannot find any place to put them. I departed from the instructions by inverting the top shelf so the flanges would not interfere with the Millermatic wire reel access cover. This required drilling two holes for the cylinder bracket, which was easily done by loosening the top shelf screws and knocking the shelf up as far as it would go. I took a tip from another review and bolted the welder down to the top shelf with two 1/4" bolts as shown in one of the photos. One nice feature is the rear wheel axle is centered under the cylinder. I use the welder handle top move the cart and it feels very stable. Anyone with a welder is not a helpless home home hobbiest, and the cart is well within anyone's abilities to assemble

Very nice, sturdy and less expensive than nearly identical carts

Very happy with this, its perfect for my Primeweld 225 Tig welder with a couple minor modifications. I flipped the top shelf to match the orientation on the Eastwood and Weldpro versions and added an aluminum side guide so the welder couldn't slide off sideways if I hit a bump rolling it around. Easy modifications, just need to redrill 2 holes in the back that don't line up after flipping the top shelf and then make/mark/ drill holes in the side plates. I used scrap aluminum that was similar thickness to the 20 gauge metal the cart is made of. Anyone who has a welder should handy enough to make these very simple modifications, but to be clear they certainly aren't needed for most any other welder, the Primeweld is just a little too wide to sit in the top shelf in the other orientation. All the holes lined up perfectly and the fasteners include lock washers and locknuts. The bolts are a bit soft so I upgraded the top shelf bolts on the rear and the front supports. Make sure you put the lock washers on the bolt head side for the casters or they will bump on the bolt extension below and not fully rotate. Instructions are minimal, just a picture and a list of parts but it's certainly enough to assemble it without any problems. It's a very nice cart at a price that is much lower than nearly identical version which are probably made in the same factory and have the exact same dimensions, just minor differences. Some reviews complain about height, I have no idea why anyone would say this is to short, any taller and I would be worried about it tipping over moving it around. Why the Eastwood and Weldpro carts have better reviews is curious when it's really the same cart.

10 cents shy of a million dollar product!

First off the cart arrived almost two weeks after the prescribed delivery date. UPS lost it. I was expecting it to be all beat up when it arrived, but was surprised it arrived in good shape, surprisingly heavier than I expected. Packaging was excellent! If this arrives damaged then a tractor trailer ran over it. Paint was nice. The gauge of the metal was nice. Way heavier duty than expected. I’m a retired professional welder and would have used this product in a manufacturing atmosphere, but I take care of my stuff. As I was assembling the cart I was impressed with the build quality and the sturdiness. Wheels are ball bearing and decent quality, easy to push around, so easy that a strong wind could blow it across the shop. One ding during assembly was a hole didn’t get drilled or punched during manufacturing, no big deal for me. Went together nicely, there is a diagram, no instructions, just use common sense…. If you have trouble, you shouldn’t be welding. Was going to give it five stars even though the hole wasn’t drilled, however, here’s the ding. In the description it said the top shelf was 11 5/8” wide, but it isn’t. It is 11 7/16. I bought it for my Prime Weld Tig 225. According to the stated description it should have fit nicely. I could not use the supplied handle. Because with the bolts it reduces the applicable top shelf width by about another inch. No big deal as far as moving the cart around because it wheels nicely, but I did want it for hanging the stinger while welding and to wrap cords around. My machine is longer than most mini migs or plasma cutters, so maybe the handle won’t interfere with your machine. If the handle was designed to bolt to the outside of the shelf using carriage bolts this issue would be resolved. Handle aside, I had to bend the return tabs outward so my machine would sit on the shelf, that 3/16 discrepancy in width made a difference for me. The height was good for my machine and tank. No problem supporting my machine and tank. I’m pretty sure I could stand on the machine and use it for rolling painters scaffolding and I’m 6’2” @ 225 lbs LOL. Overall I’m happy with the product.

Not bad for the price

The bottom shelf has a cutout for venting a water cooler. Top shelf really needs to be about 1.5" wider to fit larger machines (currently using Primeweld TIG325X) and will not fit larger bottles without modification as stated by other reviews. Even thought the description says it will fit bottles up to 9.5". The top fits the bottle but the shelf it sits on only measures about 8.5" wide.
